Temporary Shelving

Many of you with a 1999 Damon Daybreak know that the storage does not amount to much so we are trying to decide on the options we may have.
Here are a couple of photos of the cabinets in the slide. There is an indented area in the cabinet that is for the window coverings.
The bottom shelf is pretty narrow and the top shelf is not much deeper.
You can see an extension that makes the top shelf to the full depth of the cabinet.
We will do this in three quarters of the 2 cabinets for now.
This is something that we are doing until we can see if it will work okay for us. We will make the shelves  from a permanent material once we know it suits our needs.

More Electrical Today

Today had a mixed bag of electrical things that were done.
An electrical plug with USB was installed on the left side of the new Entertainment Center. This will be great for the passenger while traveling down the road since it is directly behind the passenger seat.
The speaker wires for the front speakers have been dropped down to the Entertainment Center. (It is great not to have those unsightly wires hanging out of the cabinet.) The speakers have also been mounted so they won't be going anywhere now.

The second plug that is in the television housing area of the Entertainment Center has been installed also.

Both plugs shown above were fed from the main box that was put in yesterday.
You can see where the box is located in the photo below. The left wire was used for the USB plug- the right wire feeds the plug that is on the right side of the Entertainment Center.

Flooring Again...

The flooring continues to progress. It may not be the end result-but it is looking much better than what it was in the beginning!

Here is a photo that shows most of the carpeting ripped out. The chipboard sub-floor was laid with the wording "This side down" in the UP position.

Here you can see the birch subfloor  has been laid.

Finally you can see a protective coating has been put onto the birch sub-floor. It has also given the sub-floor a much richer look.

(PS- This does not mean we are not putting the linoleum down, DH!)

Slide Topper Replacement

We had to replace the slide topper before any long trips can be taken. This is not a simple one hour job.
Here are a few photos of the procedure: Torn corner- front (Now you can see why it needs to be replaced!) Here is a crumbled/disintegrated "mud-dabber bee" nest that was discovered when we removed the old topper. In the process of removing the caked on dirt: Working the topper on: Finished product:

Back-Up Camera Mounted

The Back-Up camera that we bought is partially installed.  Here is the Back-Up Camera that has been mounted:

We have also run the wiring to the front area of the rig. We will drill the hole for that once we know exactly where we want the monitor mounted.
