Door Seal

We removed this -

to give us this opening without the rubber seal:

The seal was almost impossible to find, but it was located and is now installed.

Front Passenger Wall Repair

I left off with this photo-

-yep we had a bit of a dry rot problem.
We removed the rotten wood and cleaned up the area-

We then took a piece of green lumber and notched it so the power mirror wires are recessed.

The glue went on and the brace went up.

The outside power mirror was re-mounted so that the screws would also hold it tight. It feels nice to know the mirror is mounted into something other than Styrofoam.

Another Water Intrusion...

We found the second water leak and it brought some other surprises.
The passenger side mirror wasn't sealed along the top of the mirror mount. This allowed water to enter at the top and run down directly to the front top screw. This allowed the water to enter into the coach wall and soak the wall boards.
Here is some of the damage that caused:

The other thing we found was the outside mirror had almost nothing that it was screwed into.  Look closely at this photo and you can see the screws coming through the Styrofoam.(One is just above the electrical wire and the other is near the top right corner.
-And I shouldn't forget to mention that the only thing besides the fiberglass wall and the Styrofoam that was holding the mirror was this thin layer of rotted out OSB.

Aluminum Framing_

A Note to All-
Read the following and realize it does not say many other things:

"Aluminum perimeter framing around doors and windows to prevent leaks and increase strength"

...Like what else is used in framing that is not around doors & windows?

First Step for the Flooring

The first step of the flooring has begun.  We decided the front cabin area would benefit from the same heat & sound deadening material that we used inside the doghouse area.
Here is the start of the project:

The driver area has been glued and the seat bolt holes have been cut.

It feels good to see the flooring project has started!
