-yep we had a bit of a dry rot problem.
We removed the rotten wood and cleaned up the area-
We then took a piece of green lumber and notched it so the power mirror wires are recessed.
The glue went on and the brace went up. The outside power mirror was re-mounted so that the screws would also hold it tight. It feels nice to know the mirror is mounted into something other than Styrofoam.
