UltraPower Upgrade

We saw the Redlands Truck & RV Performance Shop while we were on vacation this last week.
They assigned Josh M to do the work. I can honestly say- he knows his shit and he is also a character!
From QZ
Here he is installing the UltraPower package.

Thank you for the work & the entertainment Josh!

The Diamond Has Been Shined Up

We were finally out where I could back up and take a few photos of  "the Diamond" in all it's glory.

She is sunning herself in the desert here.

She is trying to hide behind some orange trees in this photo..

We will probably paint it a bit later into the project-but this will work for now!

As Ready As It Can Be

I took a few photos of the interior last night as I was getting ready to leave on our maiden voyage in The Diamond today.
Here are a few of the pictures:

Here is a slideshow of all the pics that I have uploaded:

Floor Registers

The new floor registers showed up today but we have a small issue.
Here is the old register:

-And here is the old & new registers - side by side:

You will notice the 1/4 inch ridge on the right side of the new register. It is stopping it to just drop in.

You can see the difference of each register in this photo. It will be nice when we can shave that bit from the opening!

Bath Time!

I came home tonight  to find the slide in-

-I bet that means the Diamond got a bath!

More Small Things...

We decided to use throw rugs  on the sub-floor on this trip. Here was my way around the floor register in the middle of the hallway.

-And we also put up a nicer towel rack.  (We still have  plenty of holes to patch throughout the rig.)

Whew...That Was a Close Call!

My plan today was to help clean out the "Diamond" with all the tools and miscellaneous stuff so I could take a few decent pictures on the inside - but I found something that could have been a major problem if I had not found it early today.
I found what appeared to be a water leak. We had put the rig on city water pressure early today to test all the lines. This was a good thing because we found a problem with the tub water connections.

The Pex tubing must be old enough that it would not seal around a shark bite fitting so we went to a local Marine store and bought a better quality fitting and clamp. Today may not have gone as planned- but I would rather take care of this today than I would a week from now!

Fridge Install Is Finished!

The fridge project is finally done!

And here it is in all it's glory.

(The cabinet drawer below it isn't  in because the refrigerator base plate has a slightly larger lip than I thought. The drawer will have to be cut down.)

Fridge Front Blocks

We had been talking about adding something extra to help relieve my stress level in regards to the fridge rolling forward while traveling down the road.

Here is what it looked like under the base plate-

-And here is what he has come up with-
We should have the bottom base plate back on by Thursday.

Counting Down The Days

The front area furniture has now been secured - including the dining room table, the sofa and the entertainment center.

- plus the water tank has now been sanitized.

I think we could safely travel now- and all the other things could wait until we return. Now if I can just get everything else done that I need to do...that includes making the menu and packing the food!

Miscellaneous Stuff

We have a list of miscellaneous "Honey-Do's" that need to be taken care of before  we take our "Maiden Voyage" later this month.

One of the things we did today was to bolt down the electrical cord reel.

Some of the other things we need to do are the following:
  • Screw down the Entertainment Center
  • Put front stops in for the refrigerator.
  • Finish latch installation on the bedroom drawers. (I told DH I can put these on the floor while we are traveling-so this is not vital.)
  • Tie-Wire some of the wires that have been run underneath the coach
  • Undercoat some of the screw heads.
  • Sanitize the water tank.
This does not include my list of things which will be a lot of last minute things.

Battery Expansion Completed

Today we completed the battery expansion.
I am sure you may remember that anything electrical scares the daylight out of me so understand that I was out of my comfort level as my husband was feeding me wires up from underneath and telling me to not touch the ends to anything! Here is the final wiring diagram-just so we always have a copy of it somewhere.

Battery Expansion Continued

Today's project has been to work on the battery tray. The new tray will allow us to carry a total of 4 house batteries.
Here is what the battery tray looked like-

Here is the new tray along with the original 2-battery tray.

You can see a bit of difference with the new tray in place.
