Bedroom Update

So- let me just say that I refuse to update the window covers until everything else is done....

...but I sure hate them!

The drawer handles are on along with the new latches on all of the cabinets-
...but I have told DH he can worry about the pulls on the 6 upper doors until after we are back from next month's trip.

New Present-

The DH gets a new present for Christmas-

-and I reap the benefits!

Yep this not so small gadget helped the DH install drawer/door pulls in a short amount of time.

Bathroom Door Knob

We are converting much of the metal hardware to brushed nickel - and this was a blaring gold fixture-

We have found an updated door handle in brushed nickel:

Another big positive (besides the looks) to this is that we no longer have to "lift the door up" in order to make sure it latches!

Bedroom Cabinet ReDo

We found that the cool looking latches that we put on the bedroom drawers are poor for RV use.  They will not hold closed during RV travel, so we are enhancing the "hold power" of the drawers.

Here are some photos of the newly added latches- next to the other latches:

Front Cabin Area

Here are a few photos of the front cabin area that is put back together:

The front cap now has insulation in it and the speakers are once again mounted...

The middle cabinet door is now attached and has a latch mounted to keep it closed.

The seatbelts are now attached to the 2 chairs.

A few things that still need to be done in this area are: the wood trim that will cover the black front of the slide and front cabin area; the window coverings; the corner trim piece that goes on the slide out corner; the middle cabinet needs a bottom put in it to protect the light fixture wiring that is mounted on the bottom; the driver door fabric that needs to be redone.

Starlight Motion Outdoor Light

We installed a Starlight Motion Activated Porch light in December 2013.
Here is a photo of the installed light fixture:

...And here is a photo of it now:

I am amazed that the lens covers  on the motion detecting part has deteriorated as bad as they have considering that we have kept the light off for 99% of the time.

This is a FAIL in my book.

Refrigerator Lock

We decided to find something that will lock the residential fridge doors in place while traveling. We did some searching on the web and came up with a post on an RV Forum that had a solution.

We ordered the part from Total Value RV located in Elkhart, Indiana. (Part# 0315479)

You can see where it attaches to the fridge in the above photo.

Here it is in the "parked" position.

We will be able to swing this to the right to prop the doors open for the "storage" position.

The above photo is locked in place for the "Travel" position.

This last photo also shows the fridge with the lock in "travel" position.
