Flooring Again...

The flooring continues to progress. It may not be the end result-but it is looking much better than what it was in the beginning!

Here is a photo that shows most of the carpeting ripped out. The chipboard sub-floor was laid with the wording "This side down" in the UP position.


Here you can see the birch subfloor  has been laid.

Finally you can see a protective coating has been put onto the birch sub-floor. It has also given the sub-floor a much richer look.

(PS- This does not mean we are not putting the linoleum down, DH!)

Here is a photo of the birch sub-floor before any sealer is put on.


We will put linoleum on next year- but this will do for now!

More Carpet Removal

We still needed to remove the remaining carpet strip from under the slide.

This was not a quick or easy task-The slide seal has been removed in order to get to the edge of the flooring.


Here it is now.
