Heater Ventilation Cover

In the kitchen area -under the stove is a vent area that covers the heater ducting. (I am sure it does more than act as a cover but I cannot ask my expert because he is "out of commission" for the next 5 hours.)

Here is a photo of the duct cover - in it's original state - a rust-spotted tan color.


We decided to paint it a black color so it blends in with the oven.
