"The List"... Revisited

This morning I thought I would revisit the list that I shared almost a year ago to see where we stand. We have done 1/3 of the list at this time along with many other things that were not included on the original list.
Some of the things that were not on the original list that have been completed or are in stages of completion include:
  • Twin Beds into a Queen Bed
  • New skylight in the bathroom
  • New water pump (the old one is out- the new one will be installed soon)
  • Switching the 30 Amp panel out for a new 50 Amp panel
  • Adding a Pure-sine Inverter/Charger/Converter (this is still in the process)
  • New residential refrigerator (the cabinet framing has not been done yet)
  • New TV lift for the new 55" flatscreen TV
  • New surround system for the main living area.
  • New electrical wiring for the fridge so that it is tied into the inverter sub-panel.
  • New electrical for the hot water heater
  • Electrical load is being split so that not everything is tied to one side of the 50 Amp main breaker
There are other things that we are doing but they are in the mostly incomplete stage. Those things include:
  • New flooring
  • New cabinetry in the bedroom area (we have had the cabinetmaker out for measurements and design-so this is more a timing issue now)
  • New window covering (This will be one of the last things we do since I will tie it into the new "colors" that we decide for the interior)
  • New toilet (and probably new bathtub area)
  • New sofa
  • New drawers to be added into some of the "dead spaces" throughout the coach
I am sure I am missing some other items- but it gives you an idea of how much more we have to do.

Here is the original list with items that have been completed crossed through:
1.      Driver side windshield is broken-it needs replacing.(both sides may need resealing)
2.      Wipers blades need replacing.
3.      Generator won’t run.
4.      All plastic latches to hold the outside doors up need replacing.
5.      Dash Air Conditioning does not work.
6.      Jacks don’t work.
7.      Jack down light comes on while driving.
8.      Full awning has multiple rips in it…needs replacing.
9.      Slide awning is also damaged- also needs to be replaced.
10.   The roof caulking needs to be redone ASAP (There will be water intrusion when it rains otherwise)
11.   Rubber roof needs to be replaced within the next 2 years.
12.   Carpet stains will not come out – carpet needs to be replaced. (This may also be source of smell.)
13.   Tires are 6 years old- they need to be replaced.
14.   Water leaks around windows.
15.   Bottom door lock does not work – it needs to be fixed/replaced.
16.   TVs will not work with new mandated format unless you are evidently hooked to cable so they will not work if you are dry-camping.
17.   Wallpaper is peeling away at inside RV wall corners (water leaks?)
18.   Bath fan does not seem to work.
19.   Outside refrigerator vent broken- needs to be replaced.
20.   Gouge on passenger side wall near fridge needs to be fixed.
21.   Plastic Wheel Well trim is broken- needs to be replaced.
22.   At least one storage area leaks…there is mold on items that were stored in it.
23.   Plastic trim around bottom third of rig is broken/cracked…needs to be replaced. (This may have caused the leakage in storage area.)
24.   Owners’ manual books are damaged and pages are stuck together. (Have not found replacement books yet)
25.   Batteries will not hold charge- will need to be replaced soon.
26.   Electrical Cover on outside passenger side is missing- it needs to be replaced. (There may also be issues with electrical due to water being able to get into electrical system.)
27.   Cover on driver side for phone/cable is missing…needs replacing.
28.   30 Amp electrical cord  needs to be replaced…end is partially melted (fried)
29.   Electrical cover mentioned in #26 also is allowing water to enter behind wall due to the “hole” at top. There may be water damage there.
30.   Need new sewer hose –tanks cannot be dumped - no other water system area has been checked…including water heater and water pump.
